Discover Scuba Diving

Service Description

If you have a swimsuit, a towel, and a few hours free, you can find yourself getting an introduction to some of the basic skills of scuba diving under the guidance and supervision of one of our experienced instructors and/or divemasters. You will learn and practice these skills in the safe confines of a shallow and heated pool. A Discover Scuba Diving party is a great idea for:  Family gatherings or private groups  Corporate meetings  Scout troops and other youth groups Course Prerequisites Students must:  Be ten (10) years of age or older  Be comfortable in the water and be able to swim  Be able to answer “No” to all questions on the PADI/RSTC Medical History form. Alternatively, you must obtain physician approval for diving prior to the start of the course. This is a very basic course. Before getting in the pool, you will spend a few minutes discussing fundamental concepts with your instructor. Then you will enter the pool where the instructor will demonstrate a few easy-to- master skills. After that, you are free to swim, play and practice those skills, under the instructor’s supervision, for the balance of the session. Where and when will you train? Discussion of concepts and a short video will take place at Davey Bones Scuba Center or in a room at the nearby pool. Pool sessions take place at one of the nearby pools.
